HCHEC – Saturday, February 20th

When to Audition?

  • Auditions will be MONDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST @ 3pm in the Music Room (same date as state choir auditions)
  • Students must dismiss from school as usual and then come back for the 3pm time to then line up outside of music to wait their turn to audition. Auditioning time window will be open until 4pm.
  • Parents will wait in the cafeteria at certain designated tables labeled with signs.
  • Once  students finish their audition, they will meet their parent in the cafeteria and then can go home.

 

Note: I will know results no later than October 9th.

The video example below is the exact audition to perform...All you have to do is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

Horry County Elementary Honor Choir

If your child passed the audition, they will perform with students from all other Horry County elementary schools on 

Saturday, February 20th, 2027

in the auditorium at Myrtle Beach High School.

The schedule for February 20th is as follows:

 

  • 8:30-9:00 Arrival/Drop off at Myrtle Beach High School/Registration 
  • 9:00-12:00 Rehearsal at Myrtle Beach High School (teacher supervised, closed to parents – parents return for performance) 
  • 12:00-12:45 Lunch (packed from home)
  • 12:45-4:00 Rehearsal (teacher supervised, closed to parents – parents return for performance) 
  • 4:00-4:45 Snack (packed from home), water, dress for concert, restroom
  • 5:00     Performance, students dismissed to parents at conclusion of concert
